CHIM SAO ASD & UWILD 2026 COMPLETED SAFELY, AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AND WITH KEY TECHNICAL MILESTONES

After more than three weeks of intensive work from 22 May to 11 June 2026, the Annual Shutdown (ASD) and Underwater Inspection in Lieu of Dry Docking (UWILD) 2026 campaign at Chim Sáo Field was successfully completed. This was one of the largest and most technically challenging maintenance campaigns since FPSO Lewek Emas started operation.
The most important achievement of the campaign was the excellent Safe Results. The entire scope of work was completed with zero accidents, zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI), zero environmental incidents, and no major HSE events. This achievement reflects detailed planning, effective risk management, strong safety discipline, and the commitment of everyone involved in the campaign.
Under the leadership of EnQuest Vietnam, PTSC Production Services Joint Stock Company (PPS), as the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) service provider, continued to demonstrate its expertise and commitment by maintaining the core O&M team on FPSO Lewek Emas and Chim Sáo WHP. The team ensured safe and stable operations during the preparation, shutdown, and start-up phases.
In addition to the regular operating crew, PPS mobilized experienced engineers, supervisors, and technicians from Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument & Control disciplines to support key maintenance activities, including:
- Replacement of GL Compressor A & B cooling fan casings;
- Overhaul of the Main Circulation Pump in the engine room;
- Replacement of valve packages on FPSO, WHP, and UWILD systems;
- Support for Electrical & Instrument (E&I) maintenance and Turret Swivel replacement;
- Periodic maintenance of Gas Lift Compressors and other critical equipment.
The successful completion of these activities demonstrated the technical capability, experience, and professionalism of the PPS team in offshore O&M services.
In addition to the outstanding safety performance, the ASD & UWILD 2026 campaign achieved excellent schedule and cost results. All priority work scopes were completed six days ahead of schedule and below the approved budget, which was highly appreciated by EnQuest management.
For PPS, the successful coordination with the Field Operator in executing and completing the ASD & UWILD 2026 campaign contributed directly to achieving 100% of the 2026 O&M KPI target related to “Coordinate with the Company to execute the 2026 shutdown campaign within the scheduled time frame.” Outstanding individuals were also recognized by EnQuest and received Safety Awards for their strong commitment, safety awareness, and professionalism throughout the campaign.
This success was made possible through close cooperation between EnQuest, PPS, contractors, and technical specialists. A major highlight of the campaign was the successful replacement of the Turret Swivel on FPSO Lewek Emas for the first time using a specialized lifting method without heading control. This milestone demonstrated the strong planning, engineering and execution capability of the project team.

The O&M Team Replacing the Turret Swivel
The successful completion of ASD & UWILD 2026 has significantly improved the Operational Reliability and Asset Integrity of FPSO Lewek Emas. The campaign also completed all critical maintenance, inspection, and assessment activities required by ABS Class. This provides a strong foundation for the renewal of the ABS Class Certificate and supports at least another five years of safe, stable, and reliable operation.
These achievements will help improve equipment availability, maintain stable production at Chim Sáo Field, and further strengthen the long-term partnership between EnQuest and PPS. They also continue to demonstrate PPS’s capability and commitment in delivering high-quality O&M services for complex offshore oil and gas facilities.
