PPS COMPLETES START-UP ASSISTANCE SERVICES FOR WHP-DH01 WELLHEAD PLATFORM – DAI HUNG FIELD, PHASE 3

In 5/2025, PTSC Production Services JSC successfully completed the start-up assistance service package for the Dai Hung 01 Wellhead Platform (WHP-DH01), part of the Dai Hung Field Development Project – Phase 3, Block 05-1(a), operated by the PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP POC).

This marks a significant milestone not only for the project itself but also for PPS, as it continues to affirm its capability in delivering high-quality technical services for offshore oil and gas facilities in Vietnam—especially during the start-up phase, which is one of the most critical stages requiring advanced technical expertise, effective coordination, and strict adherence to safety standards.

WHP-DH01 PLATFORM – THE HEART OF DAI HUNG FIELD PHASE 3

The WHP-DH01 (Wellhead Platform – Dai Hung 01) is an unmanned platform located within the Dai Hung Field, offshore on the Vietnamese continental shelf. Its primary functions are to collect, perform preliminary processing, and transfer hydrocarbons from production wells to the central processing unit (FPU).

Phase 3 of the Dai Hung Field development, implemented by PVEP POC, aims to optimize the recovery of remaining reserves, increase production output, and extend the field’s operational lifespan. In the context of a highly urgent and tightly controlled schedule with strict safety requirements, the timely start-up of the WHP-DH01 platform played a pivotal role in the overall production strategy of the project.

PPS – A TRUSTED TECHNICAL PARTNER IN OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF OIL & GAS FACILITIES

With more than 20 years of experience in operations and maintenance (O&M) as well as technical support for oil and gas facilities, PPS was selected as the contractor to carry out the start-up service package for the WHP-DH01 platform.

The scope of work included:

• Conducting a comprehensive review of all equipment, manuals, and operational guidelines for the offshore platform.
• Performing a thorough site inspection and readiness assessment prior to the startup.
• Developing a detailed startup plan, including a timeline, resource requirements, and contingency measures.
• Overseeing and providing technical assistance during the actual startup process.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting any issues that may arise, leveraging the team’s in depth knowledge of the platform’s systems.
• Ensuring that all systems are functioning as per the design specifications and safety requirements.
• Conducting performance tests and commissioning activities to verify the proper functioning of the platform.
• Providing comprehensive training and knowledge transfer to the CLIENT’s operations and maintenance personnel.

PROACTIVE – SAFE – EFFICIENT

Throughout the implementation process, PPS engineers and technicians demonstrated a high level of proactiveness and responsibility, strictly adhering to safety procedures, technical regulations, and offshore workplace culture. Despite the harsh offshore environment, all activities were carried out with:

• Absolute safety – No incidents or workplace accidents occurred;
• On-schedule execution – All work was completed according to the project timeline;
• High technical quality – Commended by the client and supervision teams;
• Optimized operational costs – Contributed to putting the platform into operation as planned, completing the performance tuning phase 20 days ahead of schedule.

At 18:50 on May 7, 2025, the flare on the WHP-DH01 wellhead platform was ignited, marking the start of the platform’s production operations. By 18:50 on May 10, 2025, WHP-DH01 had successfully completed 72 hours of safe, continuous, and stable operation.

REINFORCING POSITION IN OFFSHORE OIL & GAS O&M SERVICES

The successful completion of the start-up support service package for the WHP-DH01 platform further reinforces PPS’s capabilities in delivering technical services for offshore oil and gas facilities. This achievement reflects a combination of practical experience, deep technical expertise, and effective collaboration among various departments within the company.

Moving forward, PPS will continue to expand its operation and maintenance services for oil and gas production facilities, aiming to expand and enhance the quality of its offerings.
