PPS Completes ASD 2026 and Well Repair Campaign at Thai Binh Platform

From 29 April to 12 May 2026, the maintenance team of PTSC Production Services Joint Stock Company (PPS) successfully completed the Annual Shutdown (ASD) 2026 and well repair campaign at the Thai Binh Offshore Platform for Petronas.
The campaign involved 25 personnel from different organizations, including 7 experienced engineers, supervisors, and technicians from PPS. Despite challenging offshore weather conditions and a demanding workload, the team completed all activities safely and ahead of schedule.

During 13 consecutive days of work, the PPS maintenance team carried out many important activities, including inspection and maintenance of electrical and control systems (UPS, PMCS, SIS, F&G) and Wellhead Control Panels; maintenance of well safety valve systems; replacement of damaged equipment; system calibration; and resolution of operational issues identified during operation.
In particular, the Thai Binh Offshore Platform is the first facility in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to successfully install PulseEight Well 2P technology to improve the reliability of the well system. Therefore, all maintenance and inspection activities were performed in accordance with strict technical procedures to meet Petronas’ high requirements for safety, quality, and schedule, under the supervision of Vietnam National Industry – Energy Group (PVN).

The successful completion of ASD 2026 once again demonstrates PPS’s strong capability and reputation in offshore operation and maintenance services, while reinforcing the trust and confidence that Petronas places in the PPS team.
